What is Disability Media Network?
Disability Media Network is a streaming app that features news, entertainment, and lifestyle programming created by or including people with disabilities. We offer content featuring disabled actors, including movies by disabled filmmakers. Our content is specially curated to ensure that disabled viewers see more authentic versions of themselves when they turn on the TV. Disability Media Network is a channel that provides programming with disability media representation through movies, documentaries, and series programs. Our definition of disability is all-inclusive to include autism spectrum disorder, blindness or low vision, deafness or hard of hearing, wheelchair users, limb differences or paraplegia, mental illness and more. Through the Disability Media Network, disabled filmmakers, disabled content creators, and disabled actors are provided a platform to distribute their work and tell their stories their way.
